007 Connection:
George Lazenby has stayed here in 2013 during opening of BOND WORLD 007.
Also while filming "On Her Majesty´s Secret Service" (1969) part of the filming crew stayed here and they together with George Lazenby celebrated in Hotel Eiger´s Tächi Bar.
He also played poker in Hotel Eiger for so long against Telly Savalas (Ernst Stavro Blofeld) and lost, so producer Harry Saltzman later asked Savalas to return the money to George Lazenby.

Hotel Eiger is a family run hotel.
In 1892 Johann and Anneliese von Allmen-Feuz started the Hotel Eiger. Several years later Susanna and Adrian Stähli are the 4th generation managing the Hotel Eiger. Susanna and Adrian live permanently in the Hotel. It was nice that Susanna was right there in the lobby to welcome us and Adrian came to shake hands with us, escorted us to our suite and introduced it to us. That is why we felt warmly welcomed to Hotel Eiger.

ACCOMMODATION
The 4 star Hotel Eiger has 40 rooms and 10 suites, an indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi and of course free WLAN throughout the hotel. 007 Travelers was online quite often and shared photos to social media of beautiful Mürren and Hotel Eiger.

Eiger Saal for breakfast
Fresh croissants, Swiss müesli, mountain cheese, bacon and eggs, salmon, yoghurt and a glass of prosecco for a perfect start into your alpine day. 007 Travelers loved this!

You can enjoy the best wines and delicious dishes in the Eiger Stübli.
LOUNGE AND TERRACE
Cocktail party for hotel guests on every Thursday hosted by Adrian and Susanna. It was great! 007 Travelers had a chance to visit the party.

WELLNESS
MEETINGS
Hotel Eiger´s conference room is equipped with a beamer, WLAN, LAN, flipcharts, pin boards etc. and offers a unique view of Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau. Your meeting will definitely be a summit meeting with:
* Up to 25 persons at desks or up to 35 persons seated
* Banquets in the Eiger Saal can seat up to 120 persons
* Additional space is available at the Sports Center (200m from the hotel)
for up to 600 persons.
EVENTS
For your personal gathering Hotel Eiger can arrange special social programmes starting from hotel´s own doorstep, including:
- wine tastings in hotel´s wine cellar
- toboggan tours from the Allmendhubel with Glüwein and cheese fondue
- tours on the via ferrata from Mürren to Gimmelwald
HOW TO GET TO HOTEL EIGER
Mürren is car free and reachable from the valley floor from Lauterbrunnen or Stechelberg.
Take the Mürrenbahn (BLM) from Lauterbrunnen to Mürren. Train connections are available at www.rail.ch. You can park your car in the multi-storey garage in Lauterbrunnen, which is connected internally with the Mürrenbahn (BLM). Parking reservations (possible from 5 days on) can be made on this website.
You can also reach Mürren with the Schilthornbahn (LSMS) from Stechelberg.

007 Connection: 007 Theme hotel with Bond dinner. In addition, 007 Company EON Productions had their Accounts Office in Hotel Alpenruh during filming Piz Gloria parts of the 007 movie "On Her Majesty´s Secret Service" (1969), starring George Lazenby as James Bond 007.

HOW TO GET THERE
Take a train from Interlaken Ost for Lauterbrunnen, from where a postbus takes you to the bottom station of the Schilthorn aerial cableway in Stechelberg. The aerial cableway to Mürren departs every 30 minutes. Hotel Alpenruh is next to Mürren cableway station.
